Polychrotidae – Bush Anoles

The Polychrotidae are a family of iguana-like lizards (Iguania) with now only seven species found in Central and South America. Until 2012, the Anolis were included in this family, today it's only the genus Polychrus which has no adhesive lamellae on its toes, unlike the Dactyloidae. Interestingly, they have prehensile front and rear feet similar to the Chamaeleonidae.
The so-called bush anoles are hardly found in the terrarium hobby. All species feed on insects.

Polychrotidae – Buntleguane
